April 1st

Morning:

1.76 mile bike ride: 10:22 + 15 minutes of jump rope
3.48 mile hike with 50 pound pack. 50:23 (14:30 per mile)

Afternoon:

Strength:
Front Squat 1x5 80%, 1x3 85%, 2x3 90%, 1x3 95%

Metcon:
"Cindy"
20 minutes, as many rounds as possible

5 pullups
10 pushups
15 air squats

I managed 11 rounds and left a big ol' puddle of sweat on the floor. Some folks did over 20 rounds.

Today, I did a 3 mile loop on the river bluffs of Shelby Forest that is the most technically difficult and challenging trail in all of Memphis. My legs were feeling pretty worked over from yesterday's front squats, so it was a real challenge. It took me 34.15 as I had to walk at the top of several of the hills since I was hitting maximum heart rate and my legs were getting blown out. I'd like to be able to run that trail continuously before the summer gets here.
