My Daughter has not taken her hunters education course yet. She has never expressed any interest in hunting what so ever. Even with me nudging her on over the years. I have tried several times to register her in a class. She is 16 years of age now.
She has been shooting my cross bow like a fiend the last few weeks and has expressed a interest in hunting turkeys this spring.
I went to the TWRA website and read the following.
site (www.tnwildlife.org). Landowners and their children hunting on their parentís land under this exemption are also exempt from Hunter Education Certification requirements and blaze orange requirement
If I am reading this correctly... (I just would like clarification and reassurance) . Can my 16 year old daughter hunt with me with a crossbow legally on our own land?
