In georgia we fertilized honeysuckle many times and i have also done it in tennessee when rainfall was adequate. The deer will eat any good quality vegetation fertilized over that on non fertilized because it is more palatable and tasty.....having said that if we get no rain fall we will see it burned up if fertilized now....Wait till rain is imminent!!!! In management publications fertilizing native habitat is highly recommended. The deer will mow it down just like a food plot!!

Thanks ya'll Yea, I'm holding for rain. I gto my lime and fert on my plot last spring so I'm jsut waiting to for rain to plant and I'll toss some fert on teh honeysuckle thicket that borders my plot then. I have a 1 1/2 bags of N that I'll go ahead and use on the honeysuckle.
