I absolutely love taking backcountry hunting and fishing trips. Some of them I train for months or even years in advance, and some of them I go on just days after I come up with the idea of taking them. Therefore, I like to keep myself in the best shape possible year round.

Everything between me and a couple of friends is a competition. Easy to stay motivated with all the trash talkin' lol.

I've got a one year old son. And another on the way. Im only 6 years out of high school and hate the way I look and feel. Especially playing with him. Out of high school I was awarded scholarships to play football in college. Now I can get winded playing with my wife and son. I dont want to be that guy.
im not in horrible shape body wise. Only 20 lb more than I want to be. I just have no stamina/endurance anymore.

I also went on a hike recently.I used to love to hike and take back country fishing trips. After a mile of hiking in was flat work out.

So my motivation is my kids. Wife. And the outdoors!
(Wife also wants me to have the muscle I did in high school) men aren't the only ones that can look at someone like a hunk of meat hahaha
