Well here I go again. I've read where people on the varmint forum sing the praises of the Lee Collet dies. I've also heard quite a few people cuss them. Well, I decided that $17 wasn't too much to risk and got one today. I may cuss it myself or I may sing it's praises....that's to be seen. The idea has good merit but is the execution going to work. I've always used the standard full length sizing and neck sizing dies from both RCBS and Redding. I'll let you know in a few weeks after a few firings and resizings. Keep you fingers crossed that I didn't waste $17.

I love the collet dies for my bolt guns.... and I have had very good luck with them... also great brass life....

Of course when using the collet dies you should only use the brass in the gun it was fire formed in.....

Best money you have spent !
All the Lee dies I have used (around a dozen different calibers) have all been great!

I have the Collet dies in about 5 calibers and like them well. The BEST thing about them is you do not have to lube the cases. I hear a lot of gripes about them from different people, but do not know what that is all about from my experience with them. If you will notice the simplicity of it when you take it apart, you will notice that it grips 4 equal sized areas of the neck, I rotate each case 1/8 turn and size it again as I do each case and it sizes the whole neck that way......if you want to try that for the ones that say they do not like them.

I also use the Lee crimp die for those same calibers that I use the Collet dies on. They are only about $8 apiece and seem to make for a more uniform starting pressure for each round.
