The "who is to blame? Who is great" game is what got us into this mess over 100 years.

Its not THE GUY that is the problem. Its the POLICY STUPID! (I should make a shirt with that slogan)

From the beginning of history "progressive" policies have harmed more people than disease.

Progressive policy in all its forms and different names can be summarized thus.
"Using government power to enrich the elite and shackle the people" to be even shorter....its a form of slavery.

Bush can be classified as a progressive with his endorsement of TARP and Patriot act.

Clinton was a proud progressive with NAFTA, selling missile guidance technology to china, and the RE bubble on his plate.

Its not THE GUY that is the problem. Its the POLICY STUPID!
If you can't trust people with freedom, how can you trust them with power ?

Well since you put it that way, it was the POLICIES that BUSH STUPIDLY promoted to the detriment of the country.

HIS policies.

HIS promotion.

Happier now?

You are correct. I said "gave China" nukes and I should have said "propelled their technology decades during his administration"

Fishboy highlighted a huge problem, all low information voters are not democrats.

Many Republicans thrive on this. They allow liberal policies to become laws and then claim to be oppose them. The Senators vote to end debate (knowing this will allow a bill to pass) and then they vote against it to cover their rears with their stupid constituents. No, everything bad in this country isn't the fault of the Dems.

For the record NAFTA was yet another Bush policy that is progressive in nature that the Dems get blamed for.

Following diplomatic negotiations dating back to 1986 among the three nations, the leaders met in San Antonio, Texas, on December 17, 1992, to sign NAFTA. U.S. President George H. W. Bush, Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney and Mexican President Carlos Salinas, each responsible for spearheading and promoting the agreement, ceremonially signed it. The signed agreement then needed to be authorized by each nation's legislative or parliamentary branch.

Before the negotiations were finalized, Bill Clinton came into office in the U.S. and Kim Campbell in Canada, and before the agreement became law, Jean Chrétien had taken office in Canada.

With much consideration and emotional discussion, the House of Representatives approved NAFTA on November 17, 1993, 234-200. The agreement's supporters included 132 Republicans and 102 Democrats. NAFTA passed the Senate 61-38. Senate supporters were 34 Republicans and 27 Democrats. Clinton signed it into law on December 8, 1993; it went into effect on January 1, 1994.[
