Well this great President for the troops had an opportunity himself to serve in a foreign war. He chose to enter the alabama national guard and his service there has been called into question. His VP pick received 5 deferments to get out of the Vietnam draft.

Bush seems like a great guy who goes to church and would be fun to hang around with; however, when given a chance to serve himself he passed using his family's connections.

As a President if you look at where we were in 2001 versus what he left us with in 2008 his policies hurt this nation to a huge degree. One could argue only Obama or possibly Carter was a worse commander in chief.

When it comes to betraying liberty by signing the Patriot Act he did his job well. Bush, Obama = tyranny.

Bush set Republicans back 50 years with his reckless attempts to out-'rat the 'rats.

He may have been a better choice than Gore and Kerry, but not by much.

I'll say this. AFTER Bush put two people in the Supreme Court the Heller case came up and we the gun owners won by just one single vote. Had Gore been president we would have lost by 2 votes.

The man had his problems but what he's done/doing for troops is noble.

My utter disdain for Bush aside for a moment, Wildcat makes a very important point here. Elections have consequences. This is why it's important to vote Republican in presidential and congressional elections, even if you have to hold your nose while doing so. The lesser of two evils is still less evil.
