Its the 901 location off of Broadway, in a warehouse space by Avery Outdoors and the Wiseacre distillery.

Some of the Olympic lifts may take me awhile to get the technique down. I probably haven't done a clean and jerk since 1993 and that probably wasn't with very good technique.

Also, they have these "hero"workouts that you do periodically that are designed just to be pure torture and nothing else. Each one of the workouts is named after a soldier killed in combat. For example, "The Murph"

For time. You may partition the pull-ups, push-ups
and squats as needed. Start and finish the workout
with a 1 mile run. If you have a 20 pound vest or
body armor, wear it!

 1 mile run
 100 Pull-ups
 200 Push-ups
 300 Squats
 1 mile run

In memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael
Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was
killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005.

This workout was one of Mike's favorites
and he'd named it 'Body Armor.' From here
on it will be referred to as 'Murph' in h
onor of the focused warrior and great
American who wanted nothing more in life
than to serve this great country and the
beautiful people who make it what it is.

It doesn't have to be fun to be fun.

Wild & crazy, can't be stopped. Only the strong will survive.

Keep your knife sharp and your skillet greasy.

i have really liked cross fit over the past year I've been doing it but i like doing it and p90x at the same time. You get crazy results if you can try and do them together, i just leave out the yoga and cardio days (not talking about Plyo) on P90 and do the rest.

I've been doing CrossFit for over almost 4 years now and it has produced some incredible results. As for the guy who won, he is from Cookeville TN and I actually got started when I met him while I was living there attending TTU. I can tell you he's not a normal specimen, he has a God given talent to be an incredible athlete. The average guy won't get near as good as him but it still is a fantastic way to get in shape. You won't get extremely good at any one particular aspect of it (Olympic lifing, gymnastic work, etc.) but you'll improve in all areas which in my opinion is better. It makes you a well rounded athlete. It will develop mental and physical toughness too. I highly recommend it to anyone.
