Sunday morning a friend and I made two dry stands before calling in a grey fox to twenty yards and the lightest coyote I have ever seen on the same stand. We set up in the middle of a twenty acre field surrounded by ten year old clear cut growth and cranked up the Fox Pro. At about the five minute mark we have a grey fox come in from behind us to about twenty yards. He spotted us and casually trtted away not really even spooked.I started the caller again and noticed something shining at the edge of the clear cut so I slowly moved my rifle into position and waited. After a minute or so it was clear that he wasnt coming any closer so I took the shot and he crumbled. We walked over to him and knew right away he would be getting skinned and tanned. The shot was also my longest on a coyote at 257 yards. Nice rig. Which Fox Caller were you using? I'm thinking about getting one.

I was using the Spitfire. I think it is a good call for my use because I didnt want to spend alot of money on one since I use mouth calls 90% of the time. I have noticed the last few I have called with it were slow to come in or didnt really act interested. I think the basic Foxpro sounds are getting used alot and the yotes are weary of them.
