There is no such thing as toooooooooo much gun when after hog! If your in the thick stuff, a 45-70 lever, iron sights. Don't forget a big bore hand cannon as back up. Would enjoy watching "SOMEONE ELSE" take one with a knife. Watch from a tree stand of course (ha)!

I'll take one out with a pair of finger nail clippers if it were legal ;\) LOL You guys are giving the vast majority of hogs way more credit than they deserve. Now, there's always that one that will make it exciting though.

She started to make it exciting this past saturday.. changed her mind at the last second ;\)
I always carry my remington 1100 with slugs (and one buckshot as the last ditch round)

Nice one. Good eating too. A big Sow with pigs will be the first one to get after you \:D I had one bite me on the foot a couple weeks ago.

I'm not sold as much on the caliber as I am the bullet construction. After my last hunt I won't be shooting "bargain" ammo. Yeah, premium bonded stuff costs more but when you're driving bullets through pigs at sharp angles you want something that will hold together.
