The 2nd Catoosa Hog hunt was rough. Hogs were as scarce as hens teeth. Got a little one yesterday, no pics. Then this big boy today 214lbs dressed. It may have cost us a good old dog though. I stitched and stapled her back together but only time will tell. \:\(

Nice one,I was up there on a deer hunt several years ago and a guy killed one that was suppose to be a the biggest killed in TN at that time,he loaded it in the trunk of a big Ford car and the bumper was dragging the ground,

FWIW.

Pack your pup's gash with salt, keep him warm and dry not hot, feed em some good high protein food. good luck on that, I'm not a big dog guy but houds have always amazed and intrigued me.

I've never heard of salting a wound like that. This was a little more than just a gash though. She's doing great so far

If its a bad wound salt will hurt, BAD. You can also check with vet, obviously. Lol

The salt inhibits bacterial growth and draws fluid to instigate new tissue growth.
