I have been bow hunting almost 10 years now and when I first started hunting arrows were about the "cool" factor for me.

Now I want something straight, tough, and easy to see. So I was researching all white arrows, not very many out there. I guess I could paint them, but there are issues there too.

Really interested to see some of the Easton Bowfires in person. Right now I am shooting the Easton FMJ's and while they hit hard, they also bend. Before that I shot the Axis and they were very accurate, but I had 3 break on me.

Anybody know of an arrow that fits the straight, tough, and bright test?

I agree on the Gold Tips. Very tuff and straight. I also purchased a dozen Deer Crossing arrows and so far I am very impressed with them. Seem to be just as durable and straight as my Gold Tips. As far as color you could look into some wraps and fletching combos that would make them brighter.

I already shoot a flo yellow wrap and flo yellow vanes, but I am thinking a white arrow or flo arrow may make things a little easier to track in flight and find after the shot. May have to experiment with some painting again.

Gold tip Pro Hunters, XT's, and Expeditions are .001, 003, and .006 straight respectively are all made on the same mandrel at the same time. The Pro and XT's are excellent and the XT series shaft may represent one of the best values in a carbon arrow shaft!

If you cut both ends of an XT shaft you usually will get .001 or greater straightness according to my dial indicator! With the Pro I often get .0001 or greater straightness.

I shy away from Camo shafts due to the coating that adds a lot wasted weight and the same reason I don't care for wraps.

I've used Easton for years—Axis, Epics (best arrow they ever had IMO and now the Aftermaths and I've never had a problem with them. The FMJ's, while they hit like a hammer, they do bear some of the problems that plagued us back in the aluminum shaft days.

As for visibility I crest all of mine with white and a fade of some type and bands and use lighted nocks.

I agree the XT level of Gold Tip Hunter, Velocity and Kinetics are the best deal going. I currently shoot Velocity XTs and the built arrow has less than 5 grains variance on the scale and they all spin true.
