I was curious to see if anyone on here had one of these barrels? I recently got the older style 20" ported barrel and was gonna try to find a good load for it. I am planning on starting out with 100 grains of powder and the 250 grain shockwaves. Any advice would help. Thanks!

I don't have one, but I would think 100 grains would be a bit much in a barrel that short.

The barrel is rated to shoot 150 grains but there is no way I am gonna try that one! I have found a few articles where they were shooting it with 150 grains and a shockwave and it was getting great results. I called prbullet last week and they are shooting one with 105 grains loose 777 and a 360 grain hollow point bullet. I really dont think I want to shoot one that big though. If I can ever make it to the range I will post some results

my only advise would be , to take the shockwaves and throw them in the trash!!! they shoot very good at paper , but will not leave a blood trail to save your life. jmo
