What sucks about them? Accuracy? Penatration? Ballistic coeffiecient?
All the above suck except penetration... they managed to get that one right.

Barnes bullets are awesome if they shoot good out of your gun. My A-bolt Micro shoots everything well. I'm sure yours will to. For factory ammo, the 165 Fusions are awesome. Sub moa at 100 yds and drops deer in their tracks.

I love them.... I shot two mule deer and Anteloppe and several whitetail deer in the last Three years with TXs's out of a Remington 308 varmit rifle and they have performed wonderfully... of the ones that even ran then only went about 10 to 20 yards and there was blood everywhere... Also a pass through on every one I have shot..
However, I would listen to TiminTN and buy one box to make sure your gun likes them.... this is good advice for any bullets you buy....
1) One other nice thing.... I have seen a lot less meat damage from the TSX than from Blastic - plastic Tipped bullets..
2) There are several very good bullets on the market and all of them will do the job... shoot what you like and do not listen to others who bang any particular drum.... Walk to your own beat.... and have fun figuring out what beat that is......

I shot barnes in all of my guns and none of them liked barnes bullets. Nuff said. I'll stick to nosler, sierra, and ocasionally hornady or speer.

I've had a different experience with them, we will have to agree to disagree. I'm sure they don't work for everybody, but they do for me. I've had good luck with the 168TSX in 30 cal, 70TSX in 22 cal, 140TSX in 7mm, 90X in 6mm and the 300X in 458 cal.
The 120gr in 6.5 were awful, nothing I have will shoot them worth a flip and the guns shoot 140gr Sierra's sub-moa.
What sucks about them? Accuracy? Penatration? Ballistic coeffiecient? All the above suck except penetration... they managed to get that one right.

My biggest pet peeve with Barnes is the way they suckered everybody into trying them with their artifically elevated BC's. Kinda funny that they then had to go back and rescind all their original data and replace it with BC's .2 lower. It's still hard to find concrete BC data on their newer bullets.
Honestly, I've only tried them in 2 calibers, and could get neither to shoot better than 1 1/2 MOA (and this was out of guns shooting other bullets 1/2 to 3/4 MOA). I might have been able to keep working up loads, but at 3x the cost of other bullets, it just wasn't worth it to me.

I just got 2 boxes of 7mm/08 in 140 grain. They shoot about a 3/4 group at 100 out of my encore.

I am a big fan of the Interbond and Scirocco. I have also seen the Fusion do a # on a couple of deer and a coyote out of Model70mans 308 and 243. I have heard good things about the plain old 150 gr Speer Hot Core out of a .308 as well.
