You are blessed to live close to most of these shoots and don't forget the IBO Winter Nat'l that's 20 mins out of Bowling Green!

I would recommend the Ft. Benning shoot or Illinois .

I haven't been to Benning, but the Illinois shoot is awesome—during and after the shoot.....casino anyone? \:\)
Plus, the Illinois shoot is closer to us here in Nashville. If you go, I highly recommend going up Friday and doing the team shoot.

Metropolis is a great shoot even though it can be the hottest! Casino and driving your 12 pack guzzling buddies to meet their spouses and some other stuff in there that I cannot divulge!

OPEN C? What's up with that @#$%^&*()? You mean to tell me you are going to sandbag your way thru Open C and let them spoon feed you the yardage? Again? You can't win SOY there! Wanna borrow my rangefinder!

What class? I shoot in the geezer open class aka Senior Open and it's the toughest and most cutthroat class out there. Why is that? When the Pro, Semi-Pros, Senior Pros, K50, and Open A can't keep up they slither into Senior Open! BTW, It's all unknown yardage class! There's no spoon fed yardage!

Not going to comment on driving my beer guzzling 'lil buddy (I so hope you read this K...LOL) around so he can down a 12 pack in 10 minutes before he turns his two partners over to his wife....LOL.

Your assuming that I'm going to be able to shoot at all this year there grandpa! LOL So, yes if and when I'm able to go again I will be soaking up some Open C and probably won't be worth a crap because it will have been so long since I've shot there smarty-pants! It's been 3 months already ;\)

Hey now...I thought we were going to bow shooting tournaments...not yardage judging competitions. \:\) I like the format of putting folks on a level playing field with yardage and just letting the best shooters come to the top. No excuses for high or low misses \:\) It becomes a different game in itself when you put 4 or 5 really good shooters in a group together, and everybody knows the yardage and are shooting for the same score rings. There's no room for shooting 10s and taking whatever 12s you may get by accident. You gotta start shooting for 12s and hitting a bunch of them if you want top 10 in those classes. That's how I like it...it's all about the shooter and his/her strategy.

The route I have chosen is: Open C, K45, and then K50. I imagine its gonna take some awesome shooting for Open C this year...and it will take me forever to win out of K45 when I get there. I might as well say I'm gonna be parked in K45 for a while.

Not to mention there isn't a stepping stone class anymore for judging . Have to go straight to Open B . I don't imagine myself shooting out of K45 for a long time .

There's always Hunter class...it's still half known/half unknown. But that's probably a whole different setup than what you have in mind for K45 or Open B.

I tell ya what...I am still having a hard time with an open setup. I went back to my hunting sight setup and for some reason, can shoot that better. I may be rocking Open C and K45 with fixed pins lol
