if anyone else has had as bad or worse year then me. To start the year i had a doe duck the bow string opening day and the rest of my season followed suit. not only have i had few shot oppurtunities this year but even deer sightings have been low every where ive hunted as ive only SEEN 15 deer all year, the biggest buck being a four point although ive been getting a few pictures of decent bucks all season long. muzzle loader rolled around and i missed a little spike at 30 yards only to miss him again about an hour later (keep in mind i hadnt seen many deer all year usually try not to shoot small ones like that) but turned out my scope was off. a week later i come back to my spot to find my stand was stolen and missed a big bobcat the very same day. with all this said i hunted hard all season long and was in the woods often making sure to not over hunt anywhere. i hunt 4 different properties (grainger, union, scott, and a lease in Hickman) and had little to no luck all year long. has anyone else had this bad of luck?

Feel for you . I've been hearing a lot of sad tales this year. If it was easy and I shot a bunch of deer every year it wouldn't be worth doing. Part of the excitement is never knowing whats going to happen. Still a week left go for it !!

Welcome to the site! Just about everybody I know has experienced a much of the same you have. Not as many deer seen, not as much sign as they are use to seeing, etc. although I have killed some nice bucks it has been a very tuff season.

Last year was the worst ever on our lease. One little buck killed and hundreds of small ones walked. During an average year we probably have only 3 decent deer killed on 500 acres. Two shooters were harvested this year and a doe two days ago.

Some years it's just miserable. I have been sick, not seeing a thing, Out of time off, high hunting pressure and poachers. You just want to throw in the towel.

Then, in an instant.....Best season of your life!!! I guess it's the nature of the beast. \:\) A friend killed this one on the lease opening day of muzzleloader

The fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fish; into your hand are they delivered.
