Not worth the extra price. But we all thought the new body style on the mustangs looked funny when they first came out.....

Because they preform really well. 90% of the haters have never tried them. they just don't like them for whatever reason. And the myth that they aren't durable, well thats about like peyton not being able to play in cold weather. Ive killed 3 deer with one this year.

No myth, my friend. I was never able to reuse a single Rage broadhead during 4 seasons of use. The blades were always bent beyond repair and, due to the low quality steel, the edges themselves to do re sharpen very well at all.

No doubt Rage's are popular, but I think you are severely underestimating the amount of hunters who have tested and used Rage's and moved on to other designs. I think that Rage's marketing heavily capitalized on a new generation of TV influenced hunters. The product hit the market at the right time and they dumped a lot of money into marketing with, what was at the time, a unheard of price for massed produced (non boutique) broadheads. No doubt their consumer acquisition far out paced the consumer atrophy, but don't assume that a large % of Rage "haters" haven't thoroughly experimented the product, because I know a number of people who have. I, for example, probably killed 10 deer using Rage products. I would venture to say that is more deer than the average Rage enthusiasts has killed using the same product and, as a result, my conclusions are drawn from empiricism not marketing.

Sincerely,
Certified Rage "Hater"

Well I guess that's why they make different brands. We all have a choice. I've hunted deer and elk with them and reused them several times. Like I said, IMO best performing broad head I have used in 20+ years of bow hunting hands down.

And speaking of price, what do other name brand heads cost? I pay just a little over $10 a head for rages. I can't imagine other top brands are much cheaper

I agree Birddog, the original Rage 2-blade has served me well. Never a bent blade and every deer I've shot has died within site. I switched 3 years ago after losing a chest shot deer with a slick trick and never having one go down in site. I'll stick with what works for me and not this new contraption.
