Anybody use this caliber? I got a bad itch for a new one and I've narrowed it down between the 7mm wsm and the 270 wsm.

Depends on how far your shooting. The 7 has ballistic advantage and that's about all it has over the .270 whizzum. Also the 7 has a shorter neck if that means anything to you.

If I buy the 7 off my dad, its a sub moa rifle with factory ammo. Its a browning a bolt, 24" barrel. So I figure with dome good handloads I can stretch bit out. I know the rifle shoots accurately so that's a plus already. I'm wanting to set up a 500 yard rifle and maybe shoot further when I'm playing

Another plus is the rifle is already topped with a new Nikon buckmaster 4x12x50 with target turrets

7 wizzum is my choice. I have 2 M70's in 7 wizzum and they both shoot lights out.

Nosler has the LRAB out now, from testing the G7 BC is around the same as Berger's per given weight. 168 LRAB would be slick way on out there.

Brass is hard to find for both, but factory ammo is easier to find for 270 wsm than 7mm wsm. Since you already load for .270, you could use some of the bullets you already have. It's not like .284 (7mm) bullets are hard to find, though. I would buy a 7mm wsm from my dad before I would even think of getting a .270 wsm from someone else. JMO

Its not the fact of a caliber really, I just want a new rifle and something a little different. I'll probably buy the 7 wsm off my dad

Both are great rounds. My 270 WSM is my favorite rifle.
