anyone ever hear of this rifle,i tried to research it on the web and not much luck,my pops gave it to me to clean up for him,not in too bad of shape,golden state arms company,30-06 model 12012

Golden state arms is known for taking military arms and reworking them for sale. I used to have a British Enfield that had been reworked to make it look just like a Jungle Carbine that came from them. It was a lot cheaper than the real thing and was basically (just not historically) the same thing.
