We've got 8, (well we did have) free range chickens. Five hens and three roosters. Some things taken 5 of them in the last 5 days. We've got one rooster and two hens left. I found one area with feathers, no signs anywhere else. The group goes into their coop @ dusk and they were all taken during the day whilst free-ranging.

They'll all be gone at this rate, what's taking them? I've got the next 2 days off, ready to use some of the 00 buck in the 1100.

Could be anything if its in the daytime, yotes hawks, dog ,cat,if they do start getting killed at night, you can put a radio by the coop and let it play and it'll keep wild critters away.

My guess is a hawk/owl that's what always got ours during the day. The few times dogs did it we would find the corpses pretty much where they got killed

I'm reasonably sure its a wild critter, hawk, coon, skunk? I've not seen any dogs or cats around anywhere close.

Pickins are probably slim in the vicinity and chickens just plain don't know better. Probably a hawk or owl.
