I got 65 lb limbs for my Hoyt. I've got it set at 59 lbs and shoots like a dream.

I don't believe I will ever own a 70 lb bow again. I get 67 lbs KE with my Spyder drawing 59 lbs, plenty for deer and much easier to shoot.

I'm glad I made the change and will likely get 60 lb limbs on my next bow. Love shooting the lighter weight.

Yep, I'm shooting 60lbs and getting ~70 ft.lbs. That's plenty for me.

I chose 65 lbs as a trade off. I can always max it out if I ever hunt with my cousin in Colorado for elk and I can always back it off to 55 lbs if I ever decide to shoot even lighter.

I have more use of the weight spectrum on 55-65 lb limbs vs 60-70 lbs. I shot 70 lbs for a couple years and won't ever go back. I could draw it back no problem but I stayed sore all the time.

I like my bigger limbs tried the smaller lbs limbs and never liked them as much for some reason. I don't ever get sore or anything but I definitely see where you are coming from.

Yea 70 lbs isnt needed. I can shoot it but I like my shoulders. I rather have 60 lbs for 60 years instead of 70 lbs for 20.

I have been shooting 70lbs forever, but with the advancement in technology during the last decade 60# has become the new 70#a 60# bow will deliver the needed energy to take down anything 95% of the North American hunting population's hunting targets. With this elbow injury, which I strongly suspect is archery related, the next bow in my hands will be a 60#.

Mine is set at 63 lbs. It's all I need for around hear, plus it's one of the most quiet bows I've been around.

Anyone else found lighter pound limbs are more quiet?

It seems my 65 lb limbs are more quiet backed out 3 turns instead of my 70 lb limbs backed out 3 turns.

Have you ever tried Grim Reaper Razortips? They are a great head for lower KE set ups.

Is it the carbon spyder? I shot one if those while in camp in Ohio and if I weren't such a Bowtech guy.. I'd own one! Heck of a shooter!

60# feels great but I like more holding weight personally. On the bows I own right now, I need 70# to get the holding weight I like.

I have shot 70 lbs. for years and don't plan on changing. Maybe when I get older and carry my wife's purse.

I can pull 70 fine, but low to mid 60s is more comfortable and that's what I shoot. I still need to get it weighed though so I know exactly how many lbs I pull. Would rather shoot lower poundage because I can hold it longer, draw smoother and hold it more steady.

I love a 60lb bow. It will kill a deer just as good as a 70lb. My new PSE Revenge is a 60-70lb bow. I shoot 65lbs and like that. If I pick up a new DNA SP this spring I'm gonna get 65lb limbs on it. They have that option which is nice.

I though you had a Mathews UTgrad? Did you get a new one? I love the Spyder 30
