If i shoot a beaman ICS 400 at 8.4 grains my bow shoots at 327, If i shoot the 5.7 grain 200's my bow shoots 347.I shoot 70 lbs. off a mathews monster and also a PSE DNA. there both about the same speed.

How long are your arrows ? I think your under spined on the ics arrows . Anyways , I'm a little confused by your question . Both of the FPS figures you posted are fast , and depending on total arrow weight both setups have a FPS K/E combo that alot of people would kill for !! Lol like me .

Us short armed less fortunate folk can't get numbers like that . Lol

Underspined for sure. I shoot an insanity and I have like speed for years, but the older I get the more I like a heavier arrow down range. With the KE of these bows now, it doesnt matter for whitetail. All the extra KE does is stick the arrow deeper in the ground.

Unless you're shooting a bear, moose or elk the speed will give an advantage on whitetail, I shoot a 75 grain mechanical w/200 arrows, 72lbs and 315fps......I've been told I'm almost dry firing this bow but I had a complete pass through at 45 yds this year, I shoot a Hoyt Hypertech that is 12 years old too, one pin to 40 yds using a pendulem sight......still can't believe why everyone doesn't use a pendulem sight

Dang y'all are over 300 fps, no way my bow shoots that fast and pulling in low 60s with fairly lightweight arrows it still blows through deer regularly.

yeah...way underspined for sure. With 70lbs you may wanna look at a stiffer arrow. I bet there is a LOT of flex for sure...lol.

Well, went to Taylors archery yesterday. The DNA was out of tune and was tearing wide left. He moved the rest until it hit the riser and the arrow was rubbing the riser and it would shoot a bullet hole. I changed rest and the same thing. twisted a cable same thing. So now Im taking it back to Full Draw to see whats up with it.I got my Monster out shot a bullet hole with a 340. set sights and drilling a dot out to eighty yards. Five year old bow I think that still is the most dependable bow I have had with the speed and kintic energy.TOmmy at Taylor archery set my Mathews Monster bow up and done a great job.Sorta sucks when you have a 1000$ new bow that want do what your back up bow will do. Thanks for all the input on this post.

It could be the shooter is torquing the bow when shot . Hate to say that because most people won't believe it ... But if your 100% that's not it you might have to move some shims around on the axles . Or ...... You could try tuning with the cable rod .

NOt torqueing the bow I shot the DNA as well as the tech and I used about four different kind of arrows ranging from a 28 inch 340 to a ICS 300. Found out today the string has stretched on one side of the harness on the right side of the upper cam. He said its shooting better but still way off center shot. Carried it to a PSE dealer.

Hope you get your problems worked out. As far as the original question, I highly suggest finding the arrow that is "balanced"a perfect mixture of downrange energy, trajectory and speed. That arrow is out there for your setup, it just requires some time and a little research to find it.
