I had one as my first crossbow and its when they first started to hit the market. They had a brief (and from what I heard small) quality control problem that was soon fixed. The problem I had was with the complete riser assembly that had to be shipped back and they replaced it with a new one. I still was not satisfied with its accuracy but I think I had a lemon. I then shot a recurve crossbow and will never return to wheeled crossbows (compounds). Since then I have not heard anything bad about them at all. There is a guy that I work with that owns one and he seems to be very happy with it.

Thanks for the reply....
I met up with (smokepolehall) a member here and also a neighbor of mine and shot his Exocet200..
I had never shot a crossbow before and I was highly impressed..
Since then I have shot my buddy's Tenpoint pro-fusion and his dads Horton explorer 150...
I def prefered the Tenpoint over the horton but I liked the Exacaibur over both of them..The only drawback I see in the Excalibur would be the width of the bow..
I would like to try out a parker although I believe that an Excalibur will likely be ordered in the next few days..

I presume you have an Excalibur if you have a recurve...
Which one do you have and what is your setup...

gish..I went to an outdoors store and shot them all side by side.Took about 1500 bucks with me to buy a ten point and came home with a parker.Quieter,no trigger pull.Killed 11 bucks and 1 doe shot 13 times.I got the regular stock because i shot both left and right and the thumb hole stock didn't fell good left handed.

Do you find the wider limbs on the excaliburs a problem when hunting from a stand..?

I sent the deerhide brown stock and limbs in and paid the difference for the return of the new camo.
I dont ever put myself in such a tight situation where my limbs would hit anything. After hunting from a ground blind last year I really donr believe I will get in another stand again. I dont have a problem with the wider limbs. They could be 4 to 6 inches longer on each end and I would still shoot recurve limbs.
