A landowner friend of mine in IL killed his first duck and wants it mounted. The only taxidermist in his county gave him what I thought was a ridiculous estimate to do it. I told him how to freeze it properly and told him I would make an inquiry for TN taxidermists.

What is the going rate in TN and do you have anybody that you use that does really good work?

If there is a much better deal, He can ship it down, and I'll pick up and transport the finished mount.

Thanks!

Robinson taxidermy
David Robinson 941-2795

I believe his son has taken over most the work do to David's health.
I've never had any duck mounts done but they've done other mounts for me and they do great work right in Nashville. I've seen many ducks he's done when I've stopped in and visited and he does some really good work IMO. Not sure on price but what I've got done has been reasonable.

Shane smith at Artistic compositions. He is in North Alabama. He is THE BEST.. He is pricey, but sub par waterfowl mounts are a pet peeve of mine and I say if your gonna have it done, have it done by the best.

Go to TNducks and look around. There are a couple of TN taxidermists that are sponsors and they have several pictures to back them up.

Shane Smith = World champion. Look at his website. Expensive yes! Unbelievable work! I have known him since he was a kid. The first thing he ever mounted was a fox squirrel I gave him.

Another one here for Brian Brew at Wild Wings. He goes by Duxrus on tnducks.
He has done all my mounts.
He has several state championships under his belt and has some very high up clients. Jeff Fisher being one of them.
