If I'm going to have to spray chemicals all over my deer blind before hunting in it just to use some flowering vines for cover...I'm not going to use that type of cover.

What impact will it have on the deer? No idea, but I doubt it will be positive. I would stick to either a synthetic or evergreen-type covering. Honeysuckle grows pretty fast, and those little "roots" along the vine will grow into the wood, so it will increase the damage rate. Plant the honeysuckle away from your stand, because you don't really want the lead doe in a herd coming over for a snack while you are hunting, and then spooking the whole group off when they find you inside! \:\)

My shooting house just sits in the edge of the woods along a field. It is not hidden or brushed in at all and I had deer and turkey within bow range numerous times this year. I put 1x8 hinged planks over the windows to keep bees out. The only place they build is under the roof eve and under the floor.
