I am shooting v v n110. The gun is shooting well enough I have killed two deer with it this week and I really like the gun. But this loading issue is a problem. I talked to the lady at MMP and she said a bunch of people were having the same issue I was with the later model gun. She recommended I send the gun to Savage. She says they WILL make it right. Probably do this after season.

Have you tried the red crush rib from Harvester? I think the lady at MMP is full of it frankly. No one that I am aware of has complained on Dougs about the barrels being to tight.I am not saying this is not the case but it is very unlikely.I have set up 3 late model .50s and did not notice anything out of the ordinary with them. 1 liked the HPH-24 while 1 liked the RCR and the 3rd one was actually a little on the loose side and liked .457-458 combos. They all shot 1.5 or better at 100 yds. Have you ran JB bore polish through this gun?

I bought mine last year and it is extremely tight as well. With a 250 SST it nearly takes a mallet to get a RCR sabot down. The standard MMP 12 short black sabots that Savage recommends are really tight but I can get them down, although a second shot from a tree stand would be difficult.
