I spent last week getting all the information from you guys I could about BH209. I wound up ordering a conversion kit for my Knight MK85 so I can shoot the shotgun primers and ignite the BH209. My son called me today and told me he was not going to MZ hunt any this year with me and I was welcome to take his gun-Thompson Center Encore-Leupold VXII 3 X 9 X 50-and see what it would do with the BH powder. I started with 100 grains-by volume measure, and a 245 grain Aero Tip bullet. After the first shot I set the Leupold scope to the point of impact and fired again. Perfect shot and dead zero. I moved the target to 50 yds and "easily" put another sabot down the barrel. The shot again was perfect and I could not believe how easy it was to load and the accuracy I was getting from a "dirty" barrel. There is no way I could reload and shoot with Triple 7 like I was doing with the BH209. I took a 30 minute break to let the barrel cool and then set the scope dead on at 100 yds. Three shots later and one jagged hole I was in total amazement. I knew my sons Thompson Center Encore was a good gun, but paired with the BH 209, this is a tack driving son of a gun! I spent about 15 minutes cleaning the gun up and it was a breeze. I am so glad that I found this powder and will be shooting this stuff from here on out. I shot about 15 times and never had a bit of trouble reloading the gun and clean up was so easy.

My encore alway shot well too, but I really like the blackhorn. Probably the closest thing to smokeless you'll find. Wait until you shoot a deer, you can actually see the deer drop in your scope because far less smoke.

I did notice there was not as much smoke as with the black powder. This BH 209 is going to be the "go to" in the next few years-you can trust me on that one! Best thing I have ever found in the way of a MZ!
