OK, my color vision is poor, but shoot. All this time I was under the impression crimson is a strong, bright, deep red color.

Not to my knowledge. The school colors have always been Crimson and White.

"Strupper along with several other sports writers continued to write about the “Red Elephants,” the color referring to the crimson on Alabama’s jerseys. The 1930 elephants, only having 13 points scored on them the whole season, went on to win the Rose Bowl and were declared National Champions."

I'm sorry, but I've always been told that you choose what to be offended about. I accept CBJ's explanation of calling them the red team - he said this before the game. The only one I've seen say anything about "they don't deserve to be called Alabama" is McCarron. He's getting butthurt over a non-story. Then saying that CBJ said that they (UT) could play against anybody and we're not just anybody? Really? What do you expect him to say? We can play against anybody but the Tide? Is that what you do as a coach? McCarron's a sad, sad little boy. Heluva arm, but no spine.
