I just orderd a CZ .17 452 rim-rifle, no sights. I am looking for a varible scope to go on it. I was thinking about a 1 1/2 to 5 power or something close to it. Other than just opinions on mfgrs' what are some good features to look for in a rimfire scope. I had been looking at a post and cross hair style recticle, I kind of liked the way it looked thru the lense. All of the rest of my scopes are duplex. Just wanted to see if any of you tree rat hunters have any thoughts? Thanks...

2-7x32mm Nikon Prostaff would be about as perfect as you can get for that particular gun. $129
I have a 4x32mm Prostaff on my .17HMR and Ive shot the shiiit out of stuff with it.

Mueller scopes are getting good reviews at rimfirecentral.

I would go with something wiht larger magnification on that gun..... I have the same gun and love it..... with the 17HMR you can us more than 5 power on the top end.... a good inexpensive 3X9 or 2X7 would be great....

I'll make you a deal on a slightly used Nikon Prostaff 2x7, PM me if your interested. I took it off a cantilever slug barrel and no longer need it.
