Line Scores:
Saw-11 between 7:30 and 9, 8 in range in thick stuff.
Shot one.

Now the story. Made a terrible shot at 38-yards. Broadhead tore a huge chunk out of the hindquarter, nicked the femoral.

She ran almost 200-yards-straight away from the truck. I was able to close the distance and put a perfect finishing shot in.

50-yards into the drag, tore something, maybe a hammy.

Fog had everything shut down until it began to lift. Then they were everywhere. I'm probably done for a few days. Been long time since I could not drag one out that was about 75-pounds.

Now waiting for couple friends to come finish dragging. Fat, dry doe #2.

Friend called, he is one the way and the sun is just starting to burn the fog away. Leg feels fine, may have just been an old age thing.

That was Karma working on you.

I'm still recovering from a pinched sciatic nerve from a drag on Sun morning.
Eating 800mg Motrin and stretching, should be good to go for tomorrow morning.

Cool John.
Seeing and reading this makes me feel like getting out tomorrow morning. First time I've felt like getting out there this year.

Congrats! your prediction seems to have been spot on, on the movement today and the fact that you would kill one in no time. \:D

It was a beautiful morning and "stuff" was active. I had boids and sqoils all over me and then the deer started moving and it got busy.

Forecast makes next week look pretty good.

I had not counted on the fog making everything an hour or so late. Where I was, I could not have seen a deer at 20-yards much before 8. I missed the driveway going in and dang near didn't find the stand.
