Thanks for the input main concern would be for spooking the deer for sure, if I do end up leaving mine in it will be locked. It just gets old carrying this thing. I've got a summit ultimate viper, back pack with water and all other odds and ins, and my bow. It took me over 45 mins to get to my tree yesterday and I was thinking about leaving it next time but I have some good bucks on cam I don't want to send deeper into the woods!

My son and I did this a few years back and he went the first morning without me and the stand I had was in a tree next to his as he was home on army leave and we wanted to hunt together the second morning luck would have it an 8 pt 2.5 year old came by and immediately looked/smelled my stand and bolted....not sure of the exact reaction but I will assumed sight first, smell second......goes to show you they can smell scent on the fabric part of the stand. Also I had one stolen one time and that broke me but in the most confident of situations....ex. leave it at dark to hunt it the next morning......I rarely do it but more commonly do it on Wma'S....I HAVE HAD THE LEAST PROBLEM ON THERE..
The problem in America is not that ungodly people have said yes to ungodly things, but rather that Godly people have refused to say "no" to ungodly things.

The only way that I do it is to hunt the evening until dark and be back the next morning before sunrise. Take it home that afternoon. This way, I'm not all sweaty from carrying it in that morning.
She told me if I go hunting one more time she's gonna leave me......I'm gonna miss her...

Never leave mine, mature bucks are to smart. If he comes by when your not there, he will smell your stand more than likely.

Mine always comes out. I will leave it in there if I am coming back the next several days and they are calling for no rain. Certain spots, I do not want it in there for a risk of disturbing the area, even if its in the least bit. But I will leave it at certain locations to reduce the time carrying it.
