Watch it till the end. What people did once they realized their unlimited EBT had become limited again is what can make you mad.

Several things make me mad about this. First, why in the world is Xerox responsible for this—they are not ones whom committed theft. Secondly, why are there Cokes, Fruit Loops, Oreos and massive amounts of junk-food in those carts? There are only a few things, the basic nutritional necessary items, that should be allowed—Milk, butter, white bread, macaroni, oatmeal, block cheese, eggs, fruits and vegetables, pinto beans, chicken legs and 80/20 ground beef. If you want items like Lobster, Steak, Pork, Cokes, Fruit Loops, Ketchup, chips and pizza.....get a freaking job!

...and it should be conditional of passing a drug screen for non-prescription drugs and nicotine, and there should be a two year limit of services unless it is person that is truly disabled.

Xerox won't be footing the bill for anything. Other reports have noted that in the event of an outage, the agreements retailers signed with Xerox provide for a limited purchase amount, but that's it. WalMart messed up big-time, and they should rightly eat the cost of this.

What does this incident teach us? The entitlement segment of the U.S. population knows they can take at will and, even if they take wrongly, they know they will not be held accountable. The people who pulled this stunt are thieves, period.

What would I like to see WalMart do? For one, they have records of every transaction and know who bought what - they should press charges. For another (but something they'd never do), WalMart should announce they will no longer accept EBT cards for anyone whose address is within 20 miles of the two affected stores. If anyone complains, WalMart should tell them to complain to the thieves who caused this action. It would be even more fitting if any other grocers in the area announced the same action, as a pre-emptive step against theft by thieves.

Despicable, in any event.

Let 'em come; they won't like what they get.
