Excellent! Hope they recover the stuff.

The PD in Tennessee does a great job tracking down stolen merchandise. I had some things stolen earlier this year and the officer off the clock spent hours looking for my stuff until he found it.

Not so much in my county and experience \:\(

x2 I had a Harrington and Richardson 9 shot 22 revolver that was stolen out of my house along with a flat screen and a few other things and even with the serial number it hasn't turned up almost 2 years later. I know its not a fancy gun but it was my grandfathers and it had more sentimental value than anything. But here in Shelby County we have so many thefts its hard and the investigating officer said that it probably will never turn up because they'll use it as a throw away gun.

David. Yes they were in a safe. And the safe was bolted down to the floor. They took the entire safe and puy it in the bed of one of the trucks they stole. They busted the safe and through it empty on the side of the road

Dang, how did they get the safe up from the floor if it was bolted down? Makes me mad and sick at the same time just thinking of this. And that car. Insurance can replace a lot of things but guns with sentimental value or an old car that has been restored/modified like that can't be so easily replaced. 1971 Camaros aren't just sitting around everywhere anymore.

I have lots of thoughts on what should happen to the thieves but won't write them down here on a public website.

I'm looking at some of the videos now. I didn't know they were there. The 1st video I see is about Sentry Safes. Apparently they have a reset button that can be activated while the safe is closed by shoving a thin piece of metal through the crack around the door over by the hinge area. This resets the combination allowing the thief to open the safe and set his own combination. Not a very smart design.

The thieves made out with close to 150,000 dollars worth of stuff. Womens Jewlery. roughly 23 firearms and 20,000 rounds of various ammo. several flat screen TV's. and countless other electronics.

The biggest things they are worried about is 3 vehicles that were stolen. 2 of them have turned up recked and totaled. the last is still unaccounted for. It is a 1971 Chevy Camaro Split Bumper. Black in color with white racing stripes. car is fully restored down to every last bolt. For in case it is being chopped. Its about a 450 horsepower 383 Roller.
The car itself has a custom plate, MAUK-2

Everything was stolen out of South Knoxville and the 2 trucks were recovered in a worse side of town in south Knoxville. We believe the car is still around. If anyone lives this way and has seen it. Please help.

i'll keep my eyes peeled for it i'm always in knoxville and i know alot of people down there also.

Hate a thief. Most of the time it is somebody that the family knows. One of the persons caught admitting to the burglary being a friend of the family does not surprise me. What stinks is a lot of the items will not be recovered and hopefully there not out a lot of money. FYI for folks in case they don't know, jewelry, furs, firearms, etc. have to be scheduled under a homeowners policy to be covered to value.
