I have limited space for siting in our encore muzzleloaders with the Hornady FPB bullets with a 150 grains of loose powder. What would the impact need to be at 25 yards to be dead on at 100 yards? any help would be greatly appraciated

You really need to shoot it at 100. It would be anybody's guess from 25 to where it would be at at 100. Just my .02 take it with a grain of salt.

All I have are some charts and they aren't going to tell you exactly but your gun is going to be around -1.5 at 25 but most all are. The changes come down range and the only way to be sure is to shoot it. If you are around +1.5 at 50 then you are close to 0 at 150 BUT that is just a SWAG without trying it out.

Yep.... Bullets start level than rise..... After that the bullet will fall.

25 yards the bullet will probably not have started on the upward swing. All is a guessing game unless you shoot it at a 100 yards.

I think you are burning 50 grains of powder you don't have to. I'm guessing if you shoot 100 grains ykou will be pretty close at 100 if you zero at 25.

At 25 yards the bullet is still below the level of your scope it will still hit low. KB is right your gun isn't burning that 150 grains completely and 100 will give you good power at 100+ yards. I have killed them out to 160 with 100 gr powder and a 295 gr bullet.

But no matter what you will need to find a spot to shoot the 100 yards to be sure.
