Not only did I lose my first deer ever but I was sitting in my blind and heard a crack. I though it was a tree branch, however I decided to go to a different spot and seen some dust on my crossbow. I was wiping it off with my glove and felt something hanging it up. Flipped it over and seen this on the top of the limb. I called the place I got it from and he says it will be tomorrow sometime before he can call them for instructions, when I bought it he said bring it back if any problems (fine print means I will get it when I can). He also told me I am the only person that has ever had a broke tenpoint limb. That sucks because it is only a month old and I don't have school Monday and Tuesday, was going to hunt after work. I am not mad at the place of purchase, just myself. Sorry had to vent.

Ten point will replace the limbs, but you will have to send it to them.

I would deal straight with tenpoint and not worry about going through the shop you got it from.Express to them that we are in the middle of bow season and I bet they will take care of you in a timely manner,or atleast they did for me.Weekend before archery season opened,my accudraw broke,I sent it in to them and they I had a replacement by that thursday.

rem 270 thanks for the offer but the way my luck is running i would trip, shot myself, and flatten your crossbow.

biglefty20 i dont know. I haven't hit anything but it had been making a creaking sound when cocking it since i got it. Today it was cocked and heard it crack. I thing there must have been a defect in the limb.

Everyone else thanks for all yalls support. I am not dead yet just nothing to hunt with. I did get some work done around the house but would rather be cleaning and cooking some deer lol.

Maybe on day the sun will shine on this old dogs a@! lol.

Look at the bright side, at least you caught it! That could have been a bad deal if it would have exploded on you. Not saying you did, but just a reminder. Don't ever leave your bow in a vehicle all day in the hot sun. That's probably the #1 reason for blown bow limbs, yeah, don't ask me how I know.

Thanks amattis13 but i am afraid of borrowing somebody elses stuff. I something happened to it i couldn't replace it. But knowing that people are trying to help means more than deer. I don't have friends like this here, normally i am the one who is helping others and karma is showing me to keep doing that. For a long time i always thought why do i keep helping when know body will help me. Everyone on this forum has shown me to keep helping and don't ever expect it back because when you do truly need it god will grace you with it. I haven't never left it in the car, it goes in a hard case in the house and straight to woods and home with me. I wouldn't have thought about what could have happened and now i have a new out look on this. I am sure tenpoint will help out and will just be patient with them. I have learned when god takes something out of your hand it isn't to punish you, it is simply to open your hand for something better.

Also i am just happy to see everyone talk about there hunting day and seeing the deer yall get. All the time i am wanting to get a deer but happier that a fellow tndeer-n is making progress to their goals this season.

Last year I blew up my compound. was my fault, the string was old and I accidentally dry fired it. I had multiple people offering to let me borrow a bow so I could keep hunting. Bowriter, original owner of the bow I blew up, had another one to sell me for a reasonable price. I ended up buying that from him and killed a deer with it 1 week after blowing up my old bow. Hope you get a new xbow and back in the woods soon.

Well dealer called me back and is giving me a Horton brotherhood as a spare in case this happens again. I am shipping mine out tomorrow and picking the Horton up today. I am shocked that he is doing this and now i am confident in his shop and services. I will be able to continue to hunt and when mine gets back have a back up Horton in case something else happens to the titan. Goes back to what i posted earlier. God has truly blessed me. Thank you to everyone out there who has stood beside me and not known me.

Lol yes MUP I try to drive the speed limit after getting toasted by Red Bank police at the construction zone and I paid the ticket nicely cause I surely thought I was going to be put under the jail for how fast I was going over but the lady officer thanked me for not just taking off on my bike so she took it somewhat easy on me

Update on crossbow.

I went back to dealer Monday and showed him the limbs. He was baffled and said that he count understand what has happened. Since then i have talked with Tenpoint numerous times. One lady gave me an authorization number to return limbs. Then one hour later they respond about the form i filled out on their website. The email says when i call see if they might just send a replacement out to help me. So i called back and was explaining it to another lady and she told me to hold on, then another guy gets on their. He didn't seem like he wanted to help, so i asked him if he had an email i could send pics. He gave it to me and sent the pics, return number, my limb tracking number, and all my information. I haven't even got a reply back. Seems like tenpoint should have enough confidence in dealers to make a judgment call and send a replacement to dealer. Either way i feel like i shouldn't have switched from Excalibur to Tenpoint. I am going to call today and try to make them take it back and switch brands. I am not trying to bash or shame them, however with my experience with a month old bow, they don't seem to worried about it. What if i had a 2000 dollar elk hunt lined up and was down? So many different scenarios could be going on, but due to the timeline of purchase it would seam they would be doing something.

Anyway everyone have a great day and for those going out, HAPPY HUNTING.

I know how you feel. I had my only shotgun break 2 days before dove season one year. I was frantic. Got it fixed barely in time. Another equipment emergency was when my muzzle loader suddenly began misfiring right before season opened. I was out in my shop with the gun all apart until after 9:00 the night before ML season opened. Got it together just in time.

I know that a good crossbow is expensive, but I have more than one for this very reason.

Tenpoint makes a good bow. I have owned two of them. I recently lost respect for Tenpoint. They bought what was left of Horton and announced that they would not service or support any Horton products. While I understand that they would not want to perform warranty work or supply warranty parts, I feel that supplying parts and service to paying customers goes a long way in promoting the Horton name which will still be used. I sold both of my tenpoint bows soon after the press release.

I can most defiantly tell you this. When i purchased it i was told if you have a problem bring it back. I wasn't told that i would have to be paying for shipping because the dealers cannot make calls on replacement. Now tenpoint told me they would include something of shipping value to replace my money. Sounds like they are helping but i still lost money on something else i could use it on. I could understand if it was a year old, however it is a month old and maybe shot 20 times Grrrrrr. Don't matter i cannot make them do anything they want but this will show me if i repeat other purchases with this company or search out different options. The thing i keep telling myself is, crap happens.........more to me than others.

Sorry to hear about the Xbow issue. I have had nothing but good luck with Parker. I purched a new Hurrican 5 years ago. The next year I broke the bolt retaining finger, called Parker they sent me 2 new via US Mail no charge. Last year early season I cocked mine set it in the back of my SVU while getting dressed. Bang???? one of the limbs snapped with parts flying everywhere. Glad I wasn't holding it. Parker sent two new limbs the next day.
Outstanding service. The rest of the story, last week sitting in a stand I noticed that the cams seemed to be bent? Well they were deformed! I use Johnny Lewis at the Bow Shack at Pickwick, he was amazed "what caused this" have never seen this before. Johnny jumps on the phone with Parker describes the issue: Parker is sending a brand new front end complete! That is mount, limbs, cams string/cable etc COMPLETE. Now that is service, Parker will back its product. I'm not tied up without a bow though ............. Johnny lent me a "used" 10 point until the Parker components arrive. Used?????? there is not a mark on it. Things do go wrong with all the major guys, but them backing up their products go a long way in public relations. Yes I'll purchase another Parker. I may just buy the 10 point for a spare (HA)
