Woke up just a little late to go hunting because I forgot to set my alarm.

Still had plenty of time.

Got dressed, grabbed something to drink and walked out the door.

Stood there a few seconds, turned around, came back in and made some coffee.
Just don't like hunting by myself.

Oh well.

Im with you. Just not fired up enough to want to hunt by myself these days.

Hunting has become more about the friendships than stacking meat in the truck. Don't get me wrong, I need about 5 deer in the freezer to get me through the year but hunting with friends is what its all about.

The wife convinced me to stay with her......I could still made it on time...lol.!!!!

Woke up, turned clock off. Decided to go to church with the family and help get ready for my daughter's bday party this eve. I used to regret it later but not with two young ones now glad to see I didn't go.

Yeah I know easy. \:\)

I dunno, just walked out the door, stood there and it just didn't feel right.

I hate hunting alone and man wanted to sleep in.
My thumb still hurts from yesterday and I did get my first kill of the year yesterday.

Lazy I guess. \:\)

I love hunting alone. My friends think I'm strange. Guess I'm a lone wolf or something. Must be wired a little different. I have slept in and missed my share of hunts, though.

Same here. I don't mind hunting alone. Sure, its great to hunt with others. But I guess I consider hunting my alone time.

At one time I would never miss an opportunity to go hunting. Now I sort of look at it like what I see going on in the woods now. The bucks are just beginning to make a few scrapes and move around a little. Comparably, I'll make a few trips and hunt a few times. Later on those scrapes you're finding will take on a different meaning and become a little more serious....the same as my hunting trips. Finally the pre-rut a rut will be here and Katy bar the doors. I won't miss any trips then.

I didn't like the wind this morning. It was all wrong. Saw a deer and wanted to get close. But hunting this morning would have ruined the spot. Went with the family to church. And I swear that message was meant for me. Feel better, now to decide whether to hunt this evening. I also hunt by myself and it gets old.

Hunting alone does get old, when I first started hunting I didn't mind it, but the older I get the more it enjoy hunting with a good friend

If I was a betting man, I'd say you are a younger man. When I was younger I hunted alone all the time, hunted a lot, hunted harder than most of my friends. There wasn't much that could keep me out of the woods, almost caused me a divorce! I'm not all that old now, but getting closer to 40 every day. I think most of us slow down a little the older we get, life kind of has a way of changing a man as we age. I do still hunt alone quite a bit, but more with my boy and friends than I use too. Also I mostly just hunt at home now instead of away, my wife likes that a lot better, lol.
