Nice buck! Looks at least 3.5 to me. Of course he'll be bigger if he makes it to next year, but I would shoot him and be thrilled.

I agree 100%. He's 3.5, and plenty big enough for me. I wouldn't hesitate a second to put one in him, and be tickled doing it.
Of course you might [probably are] be hunting a much better area than I am. Just seeing a 3.5 y.o. deer in my area is cause for celebration.
Good luck no matter your decision.

if he's a shooter to you then he's a shooter. To me I'd probably shoot him as well. Especially if he's 3.5+

If your in the middle of 10K acres, and no chance he will get killed by another, pass, if thats not your scenario, shoot him and be proud of a great deer.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I think that you have been watching too many hunting shows especially considering that you have only killed a handful of bucks. \:\)

To each his own and whatever makes you happy is the key though whether that is a spike or a 130" deer. However, that deer is an "average" buck for TN and above average for some areas. He is at least 3.5 and possibly 4.5. For my area, that deer is a very nice deer and slightly above average.

I never said I didn't consider him a shooter... I'm just curious what he'd be like in another year (if he made it).

I think I'd have a hard time passing him up if given the opportunity.
