Hey folks going to try this product this year. it is made from goat milk. It smells just like dirt and it comes at a fraction of the cost of some of the other companies. check out http://www.swisfamilyfarm.com

My cousin has started making homemade soaps and she made me some for deer season that is unscented. For someone with really bad skin, I hope this stuff is better than the commercial "hunting soap" that makes my skin crack from the dryness and itchy all over. She makes it with an assortment of oils that is good for the skin.

Looks pretty good. I wonder if you can make a decent soap out of deer tallow. If so, I'd just keep it unscented.

Why not? PayPal money isn't real anyway \:\)
I just ordered two bars of the unscented soaps. I really can't stand scented stuff, so I am pretty picky about deodorant, shaving cream, after shave etc. Finding quality products that are unscented is not easy these days. -pretty much have to order those items from speciality places like this one.

Alright. I used the unscented Goat's Milk soap today. I can't stand scented things. I use unscented soap, deodorant, shampoo, toothpaste, shaving soap (straight razor, you need soap) and pomade (when I have to dress nice. Traditional, unscented pomade is very difficult to find, btw. There is only one manufacture of it that I know of and it is $$, but worth it).

Anyway, the goat milk soap left no detectable scent on my skin, however, it did seem to have a slight "soapy" smell when in use. This could be because it is, well, real soap. Lather was good, but not great. I usually use Dead Downwind soap during hunting season. It lathers very well and I trust it to do it its job as well as it can do it. I do have to wonder if the Goat Milk soap is not a detectable odor unto itself to deer. If it is, is it something a deer would associate with humans or danger? I don't know. I am guessing not, but not sure if I am willing to risk experimenting. I do think I will use this Goat Milk soap on non hunting days and definitely during the off season. $3 a bar and, though small, it is a hard bar that seem like it will last for a few weeks.

Another thing that I like is that it comes from a small business. I mean, the shipping packaging was handwritten. I can always appreciate affordable items made by real people doing something they believe in (see my authenticity post on pop country music in the general forum). Anyone else try it yet? Thoughts?
