I found mine. I'll tell the story later. Now I'm looking for my buddy's deer. We've hit a snag and the blood has stopped. Great blood, it just stopped. Doing circles now

First of all thanks for all the congratulations. So the story goes like this. Got on some new property today. It was a mini farm in a prime location. The guy I was hunting with walked me up to the stand when I first got there and there were two does feeding before we even got to the stand. There were acorns EVERYWHERE. Well we backed out and went to the truck and BSed for about an hour. I grabbed my climber, bow, and usual gear and headed to the site. On the way in I bumped another deer. Get into the woods and setup about 50 yards from his lock on. He wasn't hunting it just the deer hadn't been moving around the stand. Well some some cool stuff tonight. I watched a fox chase a squirrel up a small tree and carry it off. About an hour later this ole girl came in the woods about 20 yards in front of me. She was walking slow and there was cover between us. She got her head behind a tree and I drew. She stepped out and I popped her. I had the hollow pumpkin sound and everything. Well she jumped 5 feet to the side and continued feeding. She was acting like nothing had happened. I couldn't see any blood on her, and thought how could I have missed such an easy shot. Well I stood up now and grabbed another arrow from my quiver and knocked it. She was forty yards now and I had an extreme quartering angle. There was a tree between us so I dug my feet into my platform and leaned out away from the tree. I hit her with a "meh" and she stopped. I placed the arrow right where it needed to be. It came in through the top behind the liver and out in front of the opposite shoulder. She bolted that time. Gave her a few minutes and started climbing down. Walked over to the first poi and I had perfect pass through with good blood at the poi. Didn't have any other blood for a good 15 yards. So I went to the forty yard shot and couldn't find an arrow. I just confirmed my thoughts and had one arrow through and one arrow in her. At the forty yard shot there was blood at the poi but there wasn't a single drop of blood after that. I walked in the direction of where I had last seen her. I found her twenty yards after that folded up in a small thicket. I'm extremely proud of the fact that my off season practice paid off and I got back straps on the grill tonight.

We got to my buddy's stand and found the blood trail. We followed it for about 40-50 yards with really good blood. Then it just stopped. The last blood was about 10 yards from an extremely thick thicket. We started doing circles and checking main deer trails. Never could find her. She was already running to water because the river was on the other side of the ridge that the thicket was on. We searched for 2 hours without even a hint of a deer. He's gonna go back and look for her in the morning.
