About taking off tomorrow to hunt. I have heard the barometric pressure has an affect on movement. I am in soddy daisy th 37379 . I haven't had anything on camera and suspect they have changed patterns but would like to have a plan. I am on private land also and haven't been pressured on our property. Do you think there travel pattern has changed early or just staying off camera. What do yall think?

Hard to say. Deer or no deer, sure beats working, though.

Yep, hunt the food source. Also look for a big white oak tree with numerous piles of deer poop under it. Ide hunt that particular tree

Ok, then i am taking off tomorrow. I hope to at least see something lol. But yall are right at least i would be in the woods. I believe i will just go back to the box blind. Water is flowing in the creek and i have a couple of trophy rocks in an old mineral spot i started in April. They were using the path around me to get their. I am limited where i can go and have no stands or cover else where.

Maybe evening would be good. Last weekend I saw 4 does while I was driving down between Selcer & Jackson Rd. at 4:30 pm on both Sat & Sun.

I've never shared this before, but I just wanted to make sure you are aware of my appreciation. I think you have THE COOLEST name on TNDeer.

As for hunting... I would take off tomorrow if there was any way I could

Food has changed them where I am. As soon as the acorns started to drop the deer went to the heaviest fall.

well since you asked here is my advice

heck yes u have to be in the woods to kill. Do NOT get stuck in the pattern of hunting the same spot over and over and over

give it a few times and rotate

when i killed my first deer that stand was the only one i hunted over and over the next year i moved and killed 2 out of the same tree one sat morn one sunday morning

and if you really really want to kill a deer
take the first week of ML off and stay in the woods

Yup.

You'll miss 100% of the deer you don't sit in a stand for

Yea i just don't have anybody to hunt with. My wife being pregnant says she cant stay in box blind with me. I am thinking about stopping at academy and getting a one man ladder stand today and putting it up in a different location Sunday. I will hunt my box til then because i don't want to change them completely off out 40 acres. Maybe i will get luck and get me one. But if i don't at least i get some experience. I do know now to find somewhere next year to hunt and don't rely on all my friends saying you can come with us, as i said by myself.
