Funny read. I identify with this somewhat because people are always asking me where they should go for Memphis BBQ and then they end up not following any of my advice and eating "barbecue" at chain restaurants such as Applebees etc.

That being said, I had one guy hit me up on facebook as he was coming into town for GonerFest. I gave him the straight rundown, which day to hit what, what place closes early etc, including hitting Alex's Tavern for late night ribs. He followed my advice to a "t" and left a very happy man.

Few things piss me off more than someone asking where to eat in Memphis, then they don't follow my advice, then complain about their food.

But I don't get this article. Onion-esque satire?

I've eaten at Central BBQ twice and will go back next time I'm in town. Good stuff!

The place pictured in the article, Cozy Corner" is my favorite. Growing up, my dad would take me there on Saturdays after leaving the barbershop.
