gene was having a lil issue with his handi rifle see above thread

after a disappointing ride out west this summer(gus fried chicken was out of chicken) and a lil trial and error she is golden

i hooked gene up a few years back with a browning a bolt in 280 and of course the pill of choice was the 120 nbt
probably the bullet i have killed the most deer with from 2700-3600 muzzle velocity

so naturally when he was having issues with it i figured this will be easy 120 nbt .010 off lands max re15 26 ich bbl should be close to 3300 like mine nef 280 is 3295 with 61.5 grains re15 (max charge work up watch for pressure)

so i loaded it up after remounting the zeiss

well it shot bad group on right

then i had some of my rounds laying around my rifle they are .010 off but in his they are .050 off
i said what the heck

they shot better group on the left

but not good enuff for me

so i said think out side the box 120 NBT of all the other bullets in 7mm which one to choose
he shot a bunch of 140's so i said lets go heavy and what is my favorite heavy bullet (other that 168 berger vld)
the 160 accubond

do i loaded up some .015 off 61 grains of h1000
and wa lah

i did not run them through the chrony book says 2740 ish

i will when i sight it in to be exact

but i am pleased

I have grown to like heavier slower bullets,,they seem to be more predictable,,I need about a 55 Gallon drum of H1000 for my 338 also,,so far I cant tell very little difference if it is 25* or 95*

I love it when a plan comes together. It's amazing what different bullet types, weights, powder, and primers can do to your accuracy.
