My daughter is having problems in her high school with another girl that is being a bully. This has been going on for several weeks now and we have told her to walk away. We'll this girl is getting more aggressive. Told her remember your training and do what you have to do, but make it off school if possible.

This girl is getting close to and but whipping like she can't imagine.

Same thing happened to my daughter. She was bullied by a girl for a long time. My firm wasn't afraid of her, she just didn't want to fight and get kicked off volleyball and softball teams. My wife finally went in school and reported it to principal and SRO officer. They did nothing to to stop it. 2 days later the girl jumped my daughter at her locker. My girl proceded to beat the snot out of this girl. The bad news is that my daughter was suspended for 10 days and later charged and found guilty of assault on a teacher because she didn't stop hitting girl when the teacher told her to. The teacher jumped on the girls and missed and fell on floor and said she hurt her neck. All was on video and the judge ruled in favor of school system. They said my daughter should have walked away ,no matter what. Both girls got the same punishment. Really unfair. Sorry for long post and hijack, but after reading this it really really reminded me of all the crap we have been through.

A. Halls Kid is like the state champion of karate for kids age 20 and she is like 14. Actually, She looks like a nice young lady you'd never know she made National Champion. She is a seriously competent young lady and has the trophies to prove it. Miss Bully is in for bad times.

Actually, I believe Lauren is a World Champion in Taekwondo. Anthony, didn't she have the power of her punch tested or rated at one time?

Good luck with the situation. Just use caution. The way this sick world is, the bully can become the victim simply based on the what the main stream media's agenda...It's happened before. But it does sound like your daughter needs to open a can at some point.

Mossy horn is correct. Her punch was measured over 800 psi. Hope this gets settled before any punches are thrown

For a school system to punish a kid for defending themselves is unthinkable yet I know that a lot of boneheaded, stupid idiots in school administration have the idiotic idea that in any fight, both parties are to blame. My Father was in school administration and this subject would get him fired up fast. He would go against the other officials loudly to say that many times a fight only has one guilty student involved and the other is simply getting picked on. I fail to see how any adult who has lived through school themselves can think walking away from a bully will fix the problem. They'll keep doing it until they are physically stopped and the kid who hits back should not have to suffer ANY consequences.

I do know of one teacher who had a kid that was getting picked on in his class. This was a shop class and one day the kid who had been picked on finally had enough. He got a 5 gallon bucket and filled it with hot water. Then slipped up behind the bully and poured it all over him. The teacher turned his back when he saw it happening and just laughed silently to himself. A lot of teachers would have jumped on the good kid but this teacher had enough common sense to recognize justice when he saw it. The bullying stopped too.

I hope yor Daughter beats the crap out of the bully girl myself. \:\)

Send the school a letter certified return receipt requested.

Now you have legal documentation of the bullying and Mention that they will be held legally liable for the safety of your child in their care.

Oh and a good punch in the gut doesn't leave a mark..... just sayin.

The picture in that article says a lot to me. I know that's just a reinactment for the article but I went to school myself and saw it happening just like that picture shows. In most instances teachers are right there when bullying happens and they do nothing. It's easier to just ignore it. Then when a kid brings a gun to school to end the bullying everybody acts like they had no idea what could have gone wrong. If teachers wanted to stop it, it would stop.

Walking away only works for so long but I do hope Lauren can outlast the bully. If not, one swift punch or kick should fix it.
I only had one try to bully me. I finally got in her face and told her to either hit me or shut up because I was sick of her threats and tired of hearing her voice. She turned out to be a bag of hot air.
Maybe the same will be true in Lauren's case.

Not sure if there are school resource officers in your daughters school or not. Most of our middle and high schools have one. If so you can notify the school first and if they don't seem receptive then a call to the local PD with a bullying complaint will do the trick. If they have an SRO - he or she will get involved and an arrest can be made.

If your daughter is a karate expert or trainee and uses it on the bully she may get in trouble for that as Karate is sometimes looked upon as a weapon or she if inadvertently really hurts the antagonist you could be liable in civil court.

Go thru the proper channels. I'm saying this as someone who was bullied in school. Been there have the tee-shirt.

They will however punish them both if it happens at school -

Had the DCHS principal come to my house and apologise to me for suspending my son for defending himself in the parking lot.

KJ took 3 hits to the side of his head, and back up 3 times, He didn't let the 4th one hit him and kicked the crap out of the kid all on camera -

Principal said if it was his kid he would have told him to do the same thing KJ did - but he HAD to suspend them both -

But he understood FWIW

It was great back in the day. You could just kick the crap out of a bully and nothing serious ever happened to you. They are always all hat, no cattle. Did it a few times myself in the late 70's and early 80's.

Yep remember dropping two back in the day at two different schools. First one hit the ground after a straight right between the peepers and the second I body slammed into a wall. No problems after that.

Get her off campus and explain why a spinning back roundhouse kick to the gut sucks. Yes I have studied for years and hold several Black Sashes in Kung Fu and tell my students to walk away .....until it is time to not walk away.

Kids either stand up to a bully or they continue to get picked on. If she touches your daughter, then your daughter needs to beat the crap outta her.
