Just an FYI, but apparently there is a rogue app out there that says they are a valid link to check in a deer in TN. Please be aware that the only valid app is through TWRA. The rogue app has zero links to our check in database, and IS NOT a legal check in site. If you use that site, you will NOT be in compliance with the big game check in regulations.

We have communicated to them to cease and desist, but due to the loose regulations on the internet there is not much more that we can do.

So, again, please go to the TWRA website for the proper link to check in deer and trukey in TN on your smartphone.

I saw that also. I tried to leave a review of the app to warn other users, but Google didn't seem to process the review.

I had found that app as well. Read the reviews and there was a head-up about it not being legal.

Thanks for a reminder to all scn.

The one on the TWRA web is just a link and not an app. Basically bookmarked the process. A real app would be nice

Correct, my IT guys call it an optimized webpage.

A real app is in the works. It probably would have been rolled out this month, but the IOS7 changes required some more testing. It should be available in the coming weeks. I've been pretty impressed with what I've seen.

I tried several times this morning to check my sons deer in on my phone and had no luck. Had it bookmarked with a shortcut and then went to twra website and clicked link with no luck either. It would pull his information but then gave me an error saying the city was invalid. I never typed the city (Mt. Juliet) and when clicked to go back showed Mt. Juliet. Finally just went to a market and checked them in.

Maybe Thanksgiving week?

They were close earlier, but IOS7 put them back into the testing phase.

To start, there no longer are kill tags.

I'm not understanding your question. Please ask again over in the TWRA section so don't overlook it and I'll try to help.

Sorry, I do not know the name.

The only ones that are legit are the TWRA optimized webpage and at this time the TWRA app from Apple.

It is up and running. It was reported on here last week.

The minimum operating system requirements are in a thread in the TWRA forum.

iPhone app worked great eight times this week as I checked mine and my buddies in! INSTANT feedback in form of a text message for confirmation that we used at the processor.

Kudos!

Have used mine all season, works great. I have even checked in deer for other hunters also (using their TWRA number of course). I use a Droid no issues at all.
