I bought a Hunter's Safety System Ultra-Lite Xtreme this spring. I really like it. It doesn't have the vest part it's just the straps that way I don't have to worry about being to hot in bow season. It's got a place to clip your binoculars to so you don't need a separate harness. The leg straps have buckles so you can unsnap them and put them around your leg. I really like that instead of just loops you put you legs through like on my old seat of the pants harness. I always found that a pain. Also, the way this harness is made, there is no slack from your straps hanging down to get in the way.

There is a thread a couple of pages over about different harnesses. Personally, I hate the HSS style for one reason...the safety aspect. Yes they will stop you from hitting the ground, but also can, and will kill you in a manner of minutes if you don't/can't recover—the part they don't tell you about. I personally recommend the rock climbing/repelling style that attaches in the front like the Alpine Bod harness. In the event of a fall you end up facing the tree and the pressure is evenly applied across the top and bottom of your of your butt, in no way restricting blood flow, and it is much easier to recover while your facing the tree and in a sitting position. If you have an REI store or mountaineering store around you it would strongly be worth your while to go visit and let them get you setup with a harness and rigging to attach to the tree. Did I mention that it is also cheaper than the HSS/Tree Spider stuff? You can thank me later.

I just bought a rock climbing harness (a black diamond) will not go back to the traditional hunting harness. I paid around $35-$40 for mine.
