I think people are stupid and ignorant and over react about many many things.

I also feel that if you are going to carry it is best to carry concealed.
I would want the element of surprise myself.

Oh well.

The two best reasons why concealed carry is preferable, even when concealed is not required by law.

I don't know of any reason open carry is preferable to concealed carry in public. I don't think it is smart at all.

In my opinion its more like "Hey look at me"

I wonder how many concealed weapons were in those same stands?

That's one of the problems with some people that carry. They seem to want everyone to see they are packing.

Maybe you should go back and read the article. This guy wasn't trying to make a statement - he was following the law.

I think the school was following the law by asking him to leave which he chose not to do.

In other words, you did not read the article.

I read it twice...guy shows up at high school soccer game packing open carry. Was ask to leave but only took weapon back to vehicle and returned. Lucky they gave him that option rather than call the police first time and haul him to jail. Not knowing if he was still armed or not game was stopped. Carry open or not is not legal in all the school systems I know of.

Can't say I know of any either, but since no one else has mentioned this, note this was a "private" school, not a "public" school, if that matters.
