Bought an absolutely like brand new model 88 winchester this summer. the nicest i have ever seen. not a scratch save one tiny one on the butt. still fully blued at the end of the barrel. filler screws still blued. Perfect. I found an older mint vari XII 2-7 and mounted it in talley lows. definitely wanted a scope that would balance nicely and not overpower the rifle. I ordered a nice dark leather german surplus sling and she is ready to go. Don't plan to deer hunt much, but wait to take a buck with such an elegant rifle chambered in the venerable 308 winchester. it came with owners manuel and a box of western super X shells circa 1972- still has the 6.50 price on shells lol. Thank again Buckwild

That is beautiful! I really like your picture layout too. The older rifles just have so much more character and soul that enrich the hunt with their history. If only they could talk!

Nice rifle. It's what I killed my first deer with when I was young.
