Man if I only had those problems. Its easy. You basically cannot live like you did. Just disappear and only get in contact with the people you care about and want to share money with and explain if somebody tells somebody else where your at they get nothing.

I feel sorry for him.... "Not" He's the one that showed up for the winners pic, looking like a clown and now he's worried that people around him knows that he's a winner. He's a clown... \:\)

Not being critical, but look at the guy. He's country as "cousin lovin"......With the numerous "country/redneck" based tv shows out there, I have no doubt that people flocked to his door.

He better be careful who he pulls a gun on or he'll be behind bars while his lady spends the money...

I don't feel sorry for him for several reasons, one being that he played the lottery and won. People that do should have a plan, or at least if they win they should get a lawyer and have a plan....It's pretty obvious that he did not have a plan....

I'd be curious to know how the other winners are doing?

Get an accountant to figure how much money you can spend annually and be fine for the rest of your life and stick to that....maybe buy something big like a home , vehicle or land to start then simply retire and live .......oh and get a new phone number and only give it to friends and family....

I'd like to have THIS problem.

Take 3 mill and spread it around to where you are drawing interest or making at least 2-3% and you still will have a 60-90k salary. To me , thats the safe way

I agree 100%! You don't have to go out and hire some slick lawyer to tell you how to invest money when you have $4 million to work with. Invest conservatively and get 4% for life. That's $160,000 per year doing nothing. I can handle nothing real well.

In actuality, I'd probably spend half that on land. But it would be land that would make me money AND allow hunting. Farm land with mixed row crops and woods would be my plan. That way your money is making you something you can live on with the row crop rent and at the same time you get to enjoy the hunting.

There were several other winning tickets turned in that split the total winnings. Then the winning ticket this guy had was purchased with something like 16 other people so that really split their portion up. Take the deduction for getting a lump sum vs. payments then extract taxes for obama phones and there you are.

I would have to "adjust" my lifestyle a little bit, but I think I could manage.
