Okay right now my bow is at 63lbs with 29in draw. My arrows are 378 grain counting the tip. Is that around the right weight? And if I up the lbs to 70 then around what grain would I need?

378 grains will certainly kill whitetail all day long with the right set up. I would stick with a good fixed blade head or a smaller mechanical like Grim Reapers.

What spine arrows are you shooting? You very likely will need to shoot a stiffer spine at 70 lbs vs 63 lbs draw weight.

You should be around a .340 spine—depending on what type of bow it is.

Most .340 spines at that length are closer to the 400gr mark.

Says 9.6 grains/in
55-70lb
That's all I see. I'm using them for practice, I don't mind buying better ones if you guys think they are needed?

There is no way your arrows are 378 total. Assuming the shaft itself is 28"+/- your at 268, then you have to add the nock, fletchings, point (100gr I assume) and the insert—your actually closer to 400gr, which is better. You really need to find what spine that arrow is. Post a pic up, or pm me and text me the pic if need be, and we'll get it figured out. That 55-70 is not indicative of the actual spine.

I have another arrow (different type) it has a # of 4560 on it. Is that the spine #?

That 4560 arrow should almost definitely be too weak. What is the name of these arrows your shooting—a picture of the label on these arrows will probably help more than anything. What type of bow are you shooting?

Don't take this the wrong way but you are not "prepared" for bow hunting IMO. We owe it to the animal to know what we are shooting and that it will make an ethical shot. Too many people nowadays just head to the woods willy nilly with an untuned bow and Rage broadheads. This results in wounded deer and people blaming the broadhead lol

Stick around here and learn as much as you can.
