I have a two similar pear trees on my property that Justin of Back acre food plots pointed out to me recently. I would be interested in identifying the variety also. I live out of state, but was just there a few weeks ago. Both trees were loaded. I ate a couple of them while I was there and they were actually pretty tasty. I'll try to download a pic. They are near an old home site so they have been there for awhile.

Here's a pic of the pears on my property, looks very similar to yours. This pic was taken in early July. I was there over the labor day weekend. I had a couple while I was there. They were a little hard, but tasty. Only saw one on the ground, eaten by something. I don't know what variety they are yet, but I'm glad to have them on my place.

Those look exacly like the asian I planted two years ago. The fruit should be just getting ripe. I tested one a couple weeks ago and it had very little flavor at that time.
